Growing up as an only child I didn’t think I’d have siblings. Queer Eye changed that for me. Here is a full family pic (missing my 💜 @karamo due to a scheduling conflict) of us on @familyfeud. Will air this summer. . I was 23 when I got cast on @queereye ✨ the year was 2003. Being OUT was in and of itself political. 🏳️‍🌈 📺 . While my journey as an actor at times became a tricky after QE when people would diminish my time on the show to me being just a “reality star”. But still I pushed and pushed. . I was one of a small handful of brown queer performers on TV at that time. I knew sustaining a career in Hollywood would take more work post QE than most thought. I Did the work and am happy to now have dozens of scripted credits under my belt. Becoming the first male “reality star” to be a series regular on a a scripted network series w ABCs @malibucountryabc . I write this for all those who’ve had to push a little harder than expected to sustain your dream. I see you. I love you💜. . That being said we all have our own paths like any family and I’m happy to call these gentlemen my brothers.
