Pope Francis Says No Gay Clergy Men (After Saying He Won’t Judge Gay Men)

Pope Francis is at it again with the mixed and hurtful signals.

After Pope Francis allegedly told a gay man that God created him this way earlier this year, there was hope of a change within the man towards gay issues. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

According to the Guardian, Pope Francis is now saying that he’s concerned about the growing “trend” of homosexuality.

“The issue of homosexuality is a very serious issue that must be adequately discerned from the beginning with the candidates,” the Pope said when speaking of new priests joining the clergy.

A new book written by the Pope called the Strength of Vocation was released in Italy on Saturday. In this book, Pope Francis speaks on his thoughts towards homosexuality and the church.

“In our societies it even seems that homosexuality is fashionable and that mentality, in some way, also influences the life of the church,” he says in the book The Strength of a Vocation, released in Italy on Saturday.

“This is something I am concerned about, because perhaps at one time it did not receive much attention,” he said.

The Catholic faith sees homosexual activity as a sin, and the Pope has vocally condemned gay men for years now.

“It can happen that at the time perhaps they didn’t exhibit [that tendency], but later on it comes out,” Francis continues in the book.

“In consecrated and priestly life, there’s no room for that kind of affection. Therefore, the church recommends that people with that kind of ingrained tendency should not be accepted into the ministry or consecrated life.

“The ministry or the consecrated life is not his place.”

But it seems to us Pope Francis is tripping over his words. After all, let’s not forget what he said in 2013….

“If someone is gay and is searching for the Lord and has good will, then who am I to judge him?”

Who indeed?

  1. He is just fake. According to

He is just fake. According to Jesus:

    Matthew 7:15

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves."

He is. I dont trust Catholic churches or any churches at all. I was Catholic myself and found out that they teach about Jesus all the time when bible is not all about Jesus. And they didnt mentioned Jesus's father God's name. Jesus mentioned his father's name. Its revealed in the bible. All bible. However, be warn that many new bibles deleted Jesus's God Father's name. If you have an older bible then check at 83:18 Psalm. A newer bible book doesnt have that. Proof that Catholic and many churches are false. Jesus said you can detect false churches if they do not have Jesus's God father's name. Thats simple.

  2. Y’all, the person in the

Y'all, the person in the blousey cotton dress and matching Chapo is worried about the gays again. I wish she would make up her mind…how about a Vatican version of Don't ask Don't Tell….of course pedophiles are still a ok. Mr.Pope, Homosexuality and Pedophilia are absolutely two different things.

  3. I’m Catholic and have NOTHING

I'm Catholic and have NOTHING against gay men (or women). The Pope needs to just get over himself. Contradiction is a sin in itself, and he just, mastered it.

  5. The Catholic Church already

The Catholic Church already says that women cannot become clergy; with the exception of people who belong to its eastern rites or who already are married, that priests cannot be married; and …..  So, how's THAT working for them? It's not. This is becoming an increasingly-irrelvant institution. I say ignore them; or better yet, strip away their (and all religious organizations) tax-exempt status.

  6. As our world becomes more

As our world becomes more over populated, it's going to get a LOT gayer. That's how the world takes care of itself.

  7. His religion has no authority

His religion has no authority to dictate morality. Religion is myths with no evidence; science on the other hand, is about facts and homosexuality is a normal and natural variant of sexuality scientifically observed. Science is the best choice to improve our sense of morality; not a religion that has killed innocent people for centuries and the Vatican, full of mundane wealth and hypocrisy.
