Kevin McHale is giving us life in his new music video.
The former “Glee” star has dropped a new single and sensational dance music video titled “Help Me Now.”
In the video, where McHale shows us his fantastic dancing movies, we see Modern Family actor Nolan Gould enjoying a day of video games. But the Justin Thorne directed video then transitions into a digital dream as Gould receives a package with a VR headset inside. Gould is then taken on a digital journey that ends up being a message meant for his roommate Austin McKenzie, who happens to be McHale’s real-life boyfriend.

Kevin McHale first gained fame in 2009 as a main cast member of the musical drama Glee. He then reappeared in headlines last year after he subtly came out through mysterious social media posts.
First, McHale posted a picture of himself holding another man’s hand on Instagram. The singer and actor then revealed that he was dating another singer/actor, Austin McKenzie, after fan speculation. McHale then vocalized his coming out through a tweet.
McHale now joins a booming list of LGBTQ singers and LGBTQ focused music. This includes Hayley Kiyoko who coined the term 20GayTeen, Years & Years’ frontman Olly Alexander who will be headlining Disney Paris’ first official gay pride event, British songwriter MNEK who’s transitioned into being a solo act, Holland who became South Korea’s first openly gay pop singer, Dear Evan Hanson star Ben Platt who came out before dropping his own album, and more.
