Oh, the humanity!
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 14 promo shot was released on Tuesday, July 2, with one lady mysteriously missing.
Vicki Gunvalson, the “OG of the OC” who has been a full-time cast member since the show premiered in 2006, was left out of the group shot.
US Weekly confirmed the same day that she was demoted to a friend of the show in favor of the other returning vets (Kelly Dodd, Tamra Judge, Gina Kirschenheiter, Shannon Beador, Emily Simpson) and one newbie (Braunwyn Windham-Burke).
This sent shock waves across the Real Housewives fan base who were left stunned over Bravo’s decision to dethrone the overall series’ first queen.

For the past 14 years I’ve opened up my life, my loves, my ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Orange County and I am proud to be the “OG of the OC”. I am back again this season right in the middle of the action in a different role. I hope you have as much fun watching the show as I did living it in front of the cameras. Stay tuned to Bravo August 6th for more of the Tres Amigas.
“SO not happy you aren’t on the cast picture…you’re the face of HOUSEWIVES!!!!!!” one wrote. “You ARE the show!!! I’m so confused,” another chimed in.
Fans do have a point. Vicki holds the record as the longest-running Housewife from any of the franchises with 13 full-time seasons under her belt.
She, along with OG cast members Jo De La Rosa, Lauri Waring, Jeana Keough and Kimberly Bryant were the ones to begin what has now become mass-Housewives hysteria that has spawned spinoffs in cities across the United States and world.
Don’t worry, RHOC fans, she will still be bringing the typical Vicki-type behavior that we all have come to know and love during the show’s upcoming 14th season that premieres on August 6.
This includes her calling Kelly a “bully”, dressing like Marie Antoinette and having more and more meltdowns as the season goes along.
So hopefully this won’t be the last time we get to “whoop it up” with one of our all-time favorite Real Housewives.
