I’ve been part of the bear community for over a decade and am so happy to see how we’ve blossomed.
I’m only in my early thirties yet have seen such a positive shift in our furry world since I first made my way inside legendary bear bar Rockbar back in the late 2000’s.
I’ve also heard countless stories from men older than me who have shared so many stories about how bears were shunned by many and the pretty boys were always the ones that got the attention.
Sorry fellas, but Its time for them to make room for us as we are here, queer, and enjoy a tasty burger with our beer.
The beauty that makes up the bear community knows no limits. There’s so much handsomeness on a worldwide level that you can’t just pinpoint one type that could be our poster boy.

There have been plenty of guys with little facial hair and no body hair labeled as bears.

The bear community overlaps with leather, chub, drag, muscle, and other communities.
There are two cute chubbies pictured above who don’t seem to be bears. If a guy (of any build) has no body hair and no whiskers then he may be teddy-ready but he’s not a bear.
And yes, it does matter, bears have bearish physical traits.
Seriously? Next you’re going to tell me there’s an age minimum to be called a polar bear or an arm measurement to be considered a muscle bear. There are hairless bears out there and they belong.
STFU!!! The strict hair requirement only became a thing because of jack****’s who only featured them in magazines because he as the bear magazine owner found only those kinda men hot. Bears were always about “come as you are”!!! And not having to be a skinny muscled twink who SHAVES!! If you had nothing to shave you were STILL a part of the bear community. Hair was only a thing in reference to the thin trim gays who shaved their body hair. “Bears” are Bigger gay men WHO DON’T SHAVE THEIR BODIES. A guy with little body hair NATURALLY is not shaving his body, now IS HE? What’s next? Age requirements for cub and bear or polar? A guy isn’t a bear unless you’re able to see him naked to count his hair? You’re everything wrong with the bear community. And it annoys me how you all try to sell this fake fantasy of acceptance in it.
