Any thespians or theatre lovers out there? Well if not, prepare to become one.
The Serenbe Playhouse in Atlanta is putting on their interpretation of MacBeth, and it looks like we might all need to buy a ticket.
MacBeth is a classic play in the Shakespearn repertoire, and many famous men have played the titular role. From Patrick Stewart to Kelsey Grammer, and more. But it seems that the Serenbe production has decided to go with a direction that rips the show down to its flesh.
And that hunky piece of flesh is none other than former model and Geography Club/Drop Dead Diva/90210 actor Justin Deely.

It seems that the Deely version of MacBeth is all about the flesh (and some blood) as marketing posters and reviews have confirmed.
“As a quick glance at the show’s posters will indicate, Deeley’s Macbeth could win a royal wet t-shirt contest, and there are several opportunities to verify that his impressive physique is not photoshopped,” Suburban Apologist writes.
“Yes, Justin Deeley looks good without his shirt, a fact we get to acknowledge many times, even when it makes no sense,” writes Atlanta Theatre Buzz. “(During the final battle? Really?).”

But while some are confused by it, and some delighted, it seems that Deely’s shirtless display, and Maythinee Washington’s take on Lady Macbeth, has earned the production an extended run through July 16 and has become the highest grossing production ever done at the Serenbe Playhouse.
