NBA player Reggie Bullock is calling on the basketball league to support LGBTQ people by incorporating rainbow jerseys.
Bullock started this call on Sunday after waking up from a dream.
If you can’t read the tweet, it says, “Just woke up out a dream and thought about playing in a rainbow colored jersey to incorporate #LGBTQ into sports,” he wrote before tagging the NBA’s official account and saying, “Help me make it happen in my lifetime.”
This isn’t the first time that Bullock has called for supporting LGBTQ rights.
In 2014, his trans sister, Mia Henderson, was murdered in Baltimore. In remembrance of his lost family, he set up a Pride Night. Also, he has two tattoos on his calf. One is his sister’s name and another with the letters LGBTQ.
While some responded to Bullocks tweet to the NBA with negativity. Several supported his idea of LGBTQ supportive uniforms.
While some teams have had Pride Nights and the Denver Nuggets once wore rainbow jerseys, Bullock is calling for the entire league to supply rainbow colored outfits. We hope they listen to Bullock's call.
