A new series is trying to depict what’s it’s like to be LGBTQ and working in the music industry.
Single Record is a series that takes an intimate look at the music industry through two performers who start to grow an attraction to one another.
According to Towleroad, the series was created by and stars Nelson Lassiter. Lassiter’s character Aaron Hunter is an up-and-coming rapper who gets a deal with a record company. He then meets fellow music artist Harmon. While the two are considered rivals in their professional lives, they soon grow close in their personal ones.
The series was produced by Dénouement Films, a New York based Production Company that creates documentaries, TV programing, film festivals and music videos, and more. On the company’s YouTube channel, you can find and watch their first web series titled #NoHomo about two straight friends who try to gay bait straight women and begin to lose track of what’s real and what’s fake.
You can watch a trailer and a few clips from Single Record down below.
If you liked what you saw, you won’t have to wait long to see the rest of the show. The series is set to premiere on Dekkoo on January 24 and then on Revry on February 1. It may then appear on YouTube, for free, later on.
