Harry Styles just can’t help falling.
The British singer has released a new official music video for one of the songs on his second studio album Fine Line. “Falling” is the fourth single from the album after Lights Up, Adore You, and Watermelon Sugar. For the first two singles, Styles received wide praise and both songs reached the top ten of the UK Singles Chart. Meanwhile, Watermelon Sugar gained respectable success despite stalling at number 17. As for the full album, it broke the record for the biggest debut from a male British artist on the U.S.’s Billboard 200.
But what about “Falling?” The song speaks of missing a lover and falling more in love with them in their absence. Some of the lyrics go as follows:
“I’m in my bed And you’re not here
And there’s no one to blame but the drink and my wandering hands
Forget what I said
It’s not what I meant
And I can’t take it back
I can’t unpack the baggage you leftWhat am I now?
What am I now?
What if I’m someone I don’t want around?
I’m fallin’ again
I’m fallin’ again
I’m fallin’”
The recently released music video, which was directed by Dave Meyers, shows the singer the piano as he begins to drown in his feelings and in a room filling with water. Check out the video below.
