Lazy Bear Week just finished earlier this month in the heart of Guerneville, California.
This is an event that is not to be confused with Bear Week, which takes in mid-July in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Not only are they geographically in two very different places but their experiences and landscapes are no where close to being the same.
Lazy Bear Week is more of a woodsy vibe compared to Bear Week which is very beach-themed. You can enjoy activities like workouts amid the area’s gorgeous luscious greenery, mini-golfing with wine and cheese and a night out at their local casino.
There’s still a great amount of shirtless action to be had, however, during your time there. The eye candy goes on and on as you splash around at the local pool, dance the night away at one of their fabulous parties and chill around the campfire while you make wonderful memories with friends old and new.
What’s even better about this 20-year plus event is that all of the profits go to a variety of causes from seniors to people living with HIV. They have raised over $2 million dollars so far according to a piece in The Advocate last year. Pretty spectacular. More info on Lazy Bear Week and what they have planned for next year can be found here.
