Since the untimely death of "Glee" star Cory Monteith fans of the show have wondered how the show will end at the conclusion of the upcoming 6th and final season.
According to a recent report by foxnews.com, "Glee" co-creator/writer Ryan Murphy confirmed that the "happily ever after" Rachel described in the show's tribute to Cory Monteith was more than just a fantasy; It was how he planned to end the Fox musical all along:
The ending of 'Glee' is something I have never shared with anyone, but I always knew it. I've always relied on it as a source of comfort, a North Star," Murphy said during his eulogy at a private memorial service in July for Monteith, printed by Entertainment Weekly.
At the end of season 6, Lea [Michele]'s Rachel was going to have become a big Broadway star, the role she was born to play," Murphy continued. "Finn [Monteith] was going to have become a teacher, settled down happily in Ohio, at peace with his choice and no longer feeling like a Lima loser. The very last line of dialogue was to be this: Rachel comes back to Ohio, fulfilled and yet not, and walks into Finn's glee club. 'What are you doing here?' he would ask. 'I'm home,' she would reply. Fade out. The end.

I don’t think re-casting Finn
I don't think re-casting Finn would have been a good thing. Especially since there was a real bond between him and Lea. Too many memories for not just her but everyone else.
I always knew Rachel would be
I always knew Rachel would be a Broadway star (especially since she's a Broadway vet before the show) but I don't like the idea that she would have not been fulfilled by her dream. However, in life, our first dreams aren't always the ones that we are completely fulfilled by which is why people so often change careers. I do like the idea that Finn was going to end up a teacher at McKinley High where it all began.
I dunno. Though, I do kind
I dunno. Though, I do kind of hope that he does the same kind of ending, but for Kurt and Blaine. Keep Rachel the big Broadway star and maybe have Santana become a famous rockstar gal, or some such thing, maybe with Kurt's band or something.
I think glee should continue
I think glee should continue and not be done with. Too much garbage on tv these days. Too many cop shows and repeats and reality tv. Sick of it.
Sounds more like an ending
Sounds more like an ending that will never be.
At the risk of getting
At the risk of getting slaughtered on here, I wouldn't have killed off the character of 'Finn'. It was bad enough to have lost Cory, but to lose 'Finn', too, was hard to take. I would've recast his character, but then I wasn't on set. I didn't know Cory. It may have seemed disrespectful to recast the character especially for Lea. Either way I wish the creators all the best. It's a difficult position to be in.
Sort of a trite ending.
Sort of a trite ending. Rachel most definitely must be a broadway star, but as such, she would never return to Lima and leave it all behind. Maybe had Finn lived and maybe become a teacher at a public school in NYC it would be a bit more believable. As such, I do hope that he still allows Rachel to become a Tony winner. Maybe he can focus on Kurt and Blaine and giving them a happily ever after instead.
No, there will be a season
No, there will be a season six, then it will end. He already stated this after announcing this, which the article failed to mention.
Wait, GLEE is all done? I
Wait, GLEE is all done? I didn't know it ended for good. With a question like "Were you happy with the way the show played out in the end?" it seems that the show is done for good. Maybe it did and I am wrong.
It sort of sounds like a rip
It sort of sounds like a rip off of the way they ended things with Ross and Rachel on Friends.
