LIPS Drag Palace has always been the “ultimate in drag dining”, but last night the patrons and queens of LIPS got a surprise visit from a superstar; Celine Dion dropped into the legendary restaurant for a surprise performance.
Celebrating the release of her new album Courage, Dion took the stage at midnight (along with a litany of LIPS’ queens) and thanked the crowd for their continued support.
“I’m so excited, and I’m so honored that you’re here tonight. I want to thank you so very much for your support through the years” Dion said. She continued “I hope you like it as well, of course. I put my heart into it, and I want to thank you. I love you guys very, very much”.
Dion then took the stage and performed her soaring new single “Flying On My Own” to the roars of the crowd

Courage is Dion’s first English-language album since the loss of her husband, Rene Angelil, whom, with a look to the sky, she said she “hoped he would like it”.
After recently wrapping up her legendary Vegas residency, Dion seems to be having a love affair of her own with drag queens, as some queens appeared in a video where she announced both the new tour as well as the new album. Based on the crowd and the queens last night celebrating this music icon, it’s safe to say that both the admiration and love is most definitely mutual.
