Remember Dante's Cove? Well, yes and no. I remember viewing this gay and pretty sexual show that reminded me of how Director Sam Irvin described it, a combination of Dark Shadows and Queer as Folk. Other words came to mind, campy, sappy, queer, "popcorn sensibility," and oddly entertaining. Well, if you enjoyed Seasons 1, 2, and 3, in the early 2000's, get read for season 4!
Cable network Here TV has decided to launch a Kickstarter campaign to create Season 4 with new a new set of actors. WHAT!!! No Tracy Scoggins or Charlie David? Apparently the script is all written and now they are looking to raise enough funds to get the project going.
Director Sam Irvin, who will return to helm the show, said: “So many LGBT projects had a lot of political statements that they were trying to make and this was something that was going to be pure entertainment. Dante’s Cove: The Next Generation is going to continue all of the elements you loved and adored from the original. Our cast of characters, you’re going to fall in love with them, the storylines are so exciting.” – gaytimes.co.uk
Well, we clearly forgot about Stephen Amell, but he was just Adam for two episodes.
Heading over to the Kickstarter page, you'll see some added perks for donating, including scripts, t-shirts, and the ability to appear in an episode.
Do you remember Dante's Cove?
Worth resurrecting?
Should they bring back Tracy Scoggins?
To help your flashback, here is the trailer for the original series.
