Is lacy lingerie just for women? Last week we shared with you a flash back video (Happy Hump Day Flash Back To The '80s. "Knees up Rog. Keep pounding.") and all I could think of was the former International Male catalog with its hot men rocking the Seinfeld pirate shirts, tan-thru bathing suits, and the smoking robes. But I think most of us would flip through the pages to see the men in the lace and the thongs. I always thought, "do men really wear those things?" I mean, I like looking at the buns and the bulges, but I was looking past the fabric and thinking about the skin. The "whole package" was great to look at but would I ever see someone wear one of those frilly laced pair of undies in person? And if I did, would I think it was attractive, sexy, hot?
Enter Adrian C. Martin and Model Gabriel Garcia. This weekend I was mesmerized by the model and photographer's collaboration posted on DNA Magazine. The pics were so beautiful, erotic, tense, smooth, sexy. I saw that this was the third in a set posted to DNA so had to track down the others. In doing so, I found this description and more pics over at Menandunderwear.com.
Adrian C. Martin is a photographer that never stops to amaze us with his fantastic photography. The editorial you see below is from his collaboration with model [and dancer] Gabriel Garcia and the men’s underwear brand MaleBasics. The underwear presented in this editorial was photographed in Tenerife’s natural landscape and is from the Eroticwear collection of the American brand, apart from the camo jockstrap shown in the last shot which nevertheless is a good match. The briefs, thongs and boxer briefs featured are made from lace and sheer fabrics. The photos are masculine and stylish. The landscape covers and reveals the sexy details in a beautiful and sensual way. Big congratulations to Martin and Garcia for yet another outstanding work! If you think underwear made from lace is not your thing, this editorial could very well change your mind! – MaleBasics
I've been to the Canary Islands and after seeing the photographs below, if Gabriel is still there, I'm booking right now.
Is the debate about men in lacy underwear a masculine / feminine issue and that is why some brands call it "eroticwear" instead of lingerie? Is lace and lingerie a threat to masculinity?
Or is it just a question of do they look good in it? Do men look good in lacy underwear?
Do you own a pair of lace you like to put on to feel sexy?
Do you think lace is making a come back in men's fashion or is Gabriel just a fine specimen and can look good in anything?
Here are many of the pics I have been drooling over. Not all of them are lacey, but they are all yummy. For more of him and the photographer, look at the links below.
And Gabriel, if you see this, what is your Instagram account? The one listed is not functioning and we would love to follow you.
