US Judge and Senate Candidate Roy Moore is in the news again, and this time it’s because he’s blaming LGBTQ people for his molestation allegations.

Roy Moore is currently in the throes of scandal after a woman came forward earlier this month saying that 36 years ago, Moore touched her inappropriately.

Leigh Corfman is the woman in question who says that in 1979, when she was 14, Moore, who was 32 at the time, undressed her to her underwear, touched her over her bra and underwear, and put his hands under her shorts.

This week, she’s even written an open letter demanding that Moore stop saying that she’s lying.

“I demand that you stop calling me a liar and attacking my character. Your smears and false denials, and those of others who repeat and embellish them, are defamatory and damaging to me and my family.”

“I am telling the truth, and you should have the decency to admit it and apologize.”

Moore however, continues to insist that these are false allegations and now says that it’s liberals, and he specifically calls out LGBTQ people, who are spreading the lies.

Moore was caught on tape speaking at the Magnolia Springs Baptist Church in Theodore, Alabama.

In the video, found below, he states that the allegations against him are a part of a larger conspiracy and says:

“When I say they who are ‘they?” he told the congregation, “They’re liberals. They don’t hold conservative values. They are the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender who want to change our culture.”

“They are socialists who want to change our way of life and put man above God and the government is our God. They’re the Washington establishment…who don’t want to lose their power.”

Moore is still running for a Senate seat for the state of Alabama. In fact, opinion polls show that he’s still ahead of his rival Doug Jones.

  1. The “conservative values”

The "conservative values" that Moore touts seem to be all about discrimination, separation, and the evangelicals who want all government decisions and legislation to be based on the Bible as interpreted by xenophobic, heterosexual, married, white, radical right-wing Christians.
