One celebrity who has had enough is “Lost in Japan” singer Shawn Mendes.

While talking to Rolling Stone, Mendes says that he’s getting tired of people constantly asking about his sexual orientation. It’s getting to the point that he’s becoming sick and anxious of anything possibly leading to more rumors/talk about it.

“In the back of my heart, I feel like I need to go be seen with someone—like a girl—in public, to prove to people that I’m not gay,” he says. “Even though in my heart I know that it’s not a bad thing. There’s still a piece of me that thinks that. And I hate that side of me.”

The panic is becoming too great for Mendes. He gave one recent example and says he worried when Taylor Swift recorded him using glittery makeup.

“I felt sick,” he remarked. “I was like, ’Fuck, why did I let her post that?’ I just fed the fire that I’m terrified of.”

In the end, Mendes just wishes people would get over talking about his sexual orientation. He even comments that the constant badgering is insensitive and would be damaging to someone who was actually closeted.

“I thought, ’You fucking guys are so lucky I’m not actually gay and terrified of coming out.’ That’s something that kills people,” he says. “That’s how sensitive it is. Do you like the songs? Do you like me? Who cares if I’m gay?”

  1. He shows up on my gaydar as

He shows up on my gaydar as well. And, no, its not wishful thinking, because hes not even my type. Who cares if he comes out or not? It's none of our business. I just hope that he learns to accept who he is, and that it doesn't matter what everybody else thinks.

  2. Shawn Mendes seems to pull

Shawn Mendes seems to pull off a James Franco play. There are lots of photos that make “one ask is he or isn’t he?” He then says all the right things about how honored he is that people think he’s gay, he has gay friends, the whole nine yards, then gets tired of the gay question. To me, it’s all a publicity act and an attempt to make gay fans drool.
