Pop icon Christina Aguilera got extremely real and personal during her stint as a guest judge on the season 10 premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race last night.
Untucked, which airs directly after RuPaul's Drag Race as a sort of behind the scenes look at the queens before, during and after the judging in each episode was where Christina made a shocking confession that a guy she used to date turned out to be gay.
She sat down for a talk with the new flock of queens, similar to how fellow pop star Lady Gaga did for the season 9 premiere. It was here where one of the queens asked her about her 2002 song "Infatuation".
The tune, off her Stripped album, is about forbidden love and the obsession she builds over a Latin lover. That particular lover, who she didn't name, turned out to be gay.
“It was heartbreaking because I found out he played for your team, not mine,” she explained.
“He’s gonna see this, he’s gonna be mad,” contestant Vanessa Vanjie Mateo noted. “I hope so, girl” she responded.
She was also asked about the man who inspired her 2006 hit song "Fighter", except this one wasn't gay, but he was real and the passion in her vocals behind it were as well.
“Was that about someone?” asked contestant Monique Heart. “Girl you read him for the back row. When you said, ‘You tried to take a joy ride and came down in flames,’ I said, ‘Oooh.’ She read him.” “Of course it was! He deserved it,” she replied, laughing.
Christina, who has kept a bit of a low profile in years past, might be making some sort of a comeback this year as she's been teasing a new album in the works, her first since 2012. To add a memorable Whitney Houston medley at the American Music Awards back in November, and her guest spot on the biggest reality show in the world right now, it looks as if XTina is planning on something super big for her millions of fans as a reminder of how she got herself to where she is today.
