Stewie’s coming out?

Adult animation Family Guy has always been willing to take the show where no one else will go. Because of this, the comedy can have some witty commentary on real world issues, like that one time they made a joke about Kevin Spacey.

Though, sometimes creator McFarlane's sense of humor hinders the show by having lots of fart and throw up jokes.

But now, the show might be tackling a new issue and we’re not sure how it will go.

The character Stewie has always been a star on the show. He’s an evil genius in diapers. We’ve all seen the character archetype before, but Family Guy’s Stewie does it so well.

Over the years, the show has made jokes here and there about Stewie’s sexuality, because of his dapper personality and accent. But now, the show might actually have the character, who’s a baby, come out.

It’s been revealed that Stewie will question his sexuality while in a therapy session in a new installment of the series next month. Even better, his therapist will be voiced by Sir Ian McKellen.

Executive producer Rich Appel talked to TVLine to share more about the oncoming episode.

“It’s just a two-character episode with Stewie in his therapist’s office for the first time.”

“It’s a wonderful episode, and Seth’s performance is spectacular.”

“They delve into all sorts of things you would think would come up in a therapy session with a boy like Stewie.”

“When Stewie’s with his therapist, they pretty immediately address questions of sexuality.”

“The episode covers that, and then goes to deeper issues for Stewie,” he revealed.

If you’re interested in watching the episode, it's set to air on March 11 on FOX.
