While up for the curtain call at the end of a recent performance, Timothy Hughes, who’s openly gay and plays Grand Pabbie the troll, was standing at the edge of the stage.

While he and the rest of the cast had their hands reached out to gesture towards the orchestra, one person seated at the very front of the audience waved a TRUMP 2020 banner.

Feeling there was another troll in the room, Hughes made the snap decision to snatch the banner out of the audience member’s hands and throw it backstage.

After getting a hold of someone’s record of the incident, Hughes posted it online.

Hughes also captioned the post with the following statement:

“What does it say about our country and politics when a man at the show tonight felt the need to protest Disney’s Frozen on Broadway with a pro Trump flag?? How frightening is it that our show’s messages of love, acceptance, and diversity have become the opposition to supporting Trump?”

“The curtain call is a thank you between actors and audience, a final connection to end a shared experience,” he continued. “I will not apologize for how I responded to the disrespectful man trying to interrupt this moment with a pathetic political platform. Not at our show! Not in front of my beautiful, diverse, talented cast at @frozenbroadway. I appreciate everyone’s support. #resist #lovewins #lovetrumpshate.”

  1. Should a tolerant society

Should a tolerant society tolerate intolerance?

    The answer is no.

It's a paradox, but unlimited tolerance leads to the extinction of tolerance. When we extend tolerance to those who are openly intolerant, the tolerant ones end up being destroyed, and tolerance with them.

Any movement that preaches intolerance and persecution must be outside of the law.

As paradoxical as it may seem, defending tolerance requires not to not tolerate the intolerant.

  2. If someone were holding a gay

If someone were holding a gay pride flag and it got snatched and thrown away, there would be an uproar!

EVERYONE should be able to have an opinion. If you don't share the same views, IGNORE THEM!

    Simple.

    • Are you fucking kidding me

Are you kidding me with this drivel!? Being gay is not a choice or an opinion! Choosing an unqualified conman & charlatan IS a choice!  So don't even try to compare the two.

I didn't choose to be gay. But that person chose to stand up and be counted with a most repugnant human being who represents and embraces the basest, classless, tacky racism, homophobia, greed, transphobia, misogyny, racism, and white nationalism that runs contrary to the very principles upon which our Republic was founded, and that are a cancer on the very heart of our Republic!
