  1. This should settle the “gay actors should play gay roles” debate. There are plenty of actually gay actors who’d jump at this chance, whether it’s 5 days before or not. Gays are masters at performing under pressure. Saying he can’t be recast is just poor journalism.

  2. They have a script. They know the content. And the Director knows how he intends to film it. It’s not unusual for the Director and studio to know the rating that they’re aiming for before filming begins. Shame on Joaquin for bailing at the last minute. His actions affect the entire crew and everyone involved with the film.
