How you doin? Well if you’re Wendy Williams she may be needing to check her fan base tomorrow AM as she opens up her mouth and out falls some shade on the gays.
During her Hot Topics segment where Wendy leans into people and topics she wants to share her own slanted opinions on, Williams brought up the topic of Galentine’s Day, apparently a way to celebrate the women whom have been influential to other women, instead of buying into all the Valentine’s Day fiasco involving relationships with men.
She asked the crowd who would be participating and noticed a few men in the crowd were applauded, which apparently set her off. She said:
If you’re a man and you’re clapping, you’re not even a part of this. You don’t understand the rules of the day. It’s women going out and getting saucy and then going home. You’re not a part.
I don’t care if you’re gay. You don’t get a [menstruation] every 28 days,” Williams added. “You can do a lot that we do, but I get offended by the idea that we go through something you will never go through.
And stop wearing our skirts and our heels! Just saying, girls, what do we have for ourselves?”

Some of the comments on this thread supported Williams, some bring up the age old question if she is a man herself, and others just think we’re all too on our last gay nerve.

When you put your foot in your mouth and insult a chunk of your fan base, leather leopard pump and all, why not try to put the other foot there, too. Williams came back later in the broadcast and said she stands by everything she says on her show.
“I tell you every day, and I mean this and I’m going to keep drilling it in your mind: It is so scary coming out here and sitting here by myself with my loose mouth and my slick humor,” Williams said. “And, you know, I’m by myself. I can’t blame anybody but me. I say it and I mean it.”
So, if we will never experience what you will experience as a woman and you want to draw lines, you will never experience what it is to be a gay man so we best not see you in any gay bar ever. Jus sayin.
