For those of you who aren't in the know as of yet… Issa Rae is the shit. She is the star and creator of the HBO comedy series Insecure, which just earned the talented actress her second Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, and rightfully so. If you haven't watch the show about her attempting to figure out her dating life and life in general in Los Angeles, go stream it now. It's brilliant.
Well, it looks like her empire is continuing to grow as Deadline just reported that HBO has greenlit not one… but two new shows of hers, one of which focuses on the dating life of a bisexual black man.
The show is called His or Her, which Issa will executive produce. The single camera half-hour chronicles the dating life of a bisexual black man and the distinctly different worlds and relationships he finds himself in.
No word yet on casting, but rest assured if His or Her is even half as good as Insecure has been, then we are all set.
