Spoilers. There. I've said it.
I've been a fan of Gotham on FOX since day 1. Many say, you need to make it through the first season and then it gets good. Well into season three, I've loved the whole ride. I was shocked as to how violent it became half way through season 2, but I guess if you have villains killing people, let's show that.
What FOX may be setting up now is not more killing (please that happens every week), but instead a love story, a gay love story.
It’s already been clearly established that Nygma is committed to being Cobblepot’s right-hand on Gotham. But things got even more interesting in ‘Anything For You’, when Nygma and Cobblepot share an intimate moment at home. As the two reflect on Butch, Nygma tells Cobblepot, “I hope you know, Oswald, I would do anything for you.” In return, Cobblepot hugs Nygma and gently caresses his back. A close-up of their physical intimacy is shown, but this is not the first time these two have shown affection in this episode. The two share a genuine moment as Cobblepot cradles and caresses Nygma’s face, almost close enough to kiss him, after learning the truth about Butch’s plan. – screenrant.com
Have we seen The Penguin in any romantic relationships before? I mean EVER? I am not the aficionado of comics so I need to revert to you guys. I've only found reference to his love of his mother, birds, and violence.
What do the stars of Gotham think about the relationship between Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith)?
From the series, it’s easy to see that Cobblepot deeply appreciates Nygma’s company, and Nygma tries to help Penguin through his problems. Taylor concedes, “They don’t have anyone so [they] come into each other’s lives at the same point, and they really learn to trust each other and to have trust in Gotham city is extremely rare.” As for the future of this evil dynamic duo Taylor recognizes, “There is a mutual affection there, I believe, but yeah we’ll see how it goes.”
Cory Michael Smith jokes about the pair’s odd ‘couple-est’ qualities. He declares, “Yes” to them being an odd couple of “two demented people.” Taylor is quick to add, “Yeah it is a little odd ‘couple-ly’ in a way!”– suggesting that viewers will have to wait and see how deep this (b)romance goes. – screenrant.com
I just soaked up the last installment of Gotham and it doesn't look good for our love struck Cobblepot. We've seen Nygma in lust / love with a woman before on FOX's rendition of this story. Is Nygma bi? Will he be distracted before Cobblepot has the chance to share his feelings?
Here's a recap from Cinemablend.com .
To see what transpires, we will have to wait until Halloween night to find out … maybe.
One thing for sure is that The Penguin, Cobblepot, I mean Robin Lord Taylor is on our team. A happy belated anniversary to you and your husband.
We loved his statement at the end, "We are proud and unafraid." Unfortunately he received tweets calling him some not so nice names.
We shall have to wait and see if FOX and Penguin will receive such messages. I don't recall any backlash when the writers put Barbara Kean and Tabitha Galavan.

And for the record, I was only responding to your request for comic info regarding this topic.
Hey, Pengy has always been
Hey, Pengy has always been straight in the comics–he was once engaged to a blonde woman (cannot remember name–very early comic) but he got arrested and hauled off to jail, obsessed with a female soap star named Heron whom he kidnaps in "The Penguin Affair #2", lustful cravings for the Birds of Prey, early comic–proposed to Catwoman. In "Penguin: Pain and Prejudice": as a teen was hopeful for a date to a dance with his crush, false love for a prostitute named Violet, completely in love with Cassandra and engaged to her (but kills her in a fit of rage). Cartoons–wooed Veronica Vreeland. Book "The Further Adventures of Batman" Vol. 2, story entitled "Vulture"–accosted an unknown woman in the park convinced she is his "mate".
