The judges table at RuPaul’s Drag Race has been nothing short of absolutely fantastic to witness as some of the guests that have appeared over its past 11 seasons (plus four All Stars versions) have featured legendary women who we all happen to know and love.
Nicki Minaj is the latest celeb to be added to that group as it was announced that she’ll be the first guest judge of the show’s 12th season when it premieres Friday, February 28, on VH1.
The queens and mainstay panel (Ru, Michelle Visage, Santino Rice, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, Merle Ginsberg) have no doubt brought that something extra that has helped this show become a pop culture phenomenon over the past decade. But so have its guests, many of which we still dream will return again for another round of fierce fashions, funny jokes and overall fabulous behavior.
Here are five that left us gagged upon their RPDR arrival.
Christina Aguilera: Season 10
Christina Aguilera’s guest-starring role on RPDR was infamous as it was also the episode that Vanessa Vanjie Matteo did her iconic three steps backwards while saying “Miss Vanjie” multiple times after getting eliminated. The “Genie in a Bottle” singer posed as season 9 contestant Farrah Moan when she walked out on the runway before revealing her true identity and shocking the rest of the queens in the process.
Lady Gaga: Season 9
Lady Gaga perfected the OMG kind of moment that XTina did one season later except she did it in the werk room as a fake contestant named “Frankie”. It didn’t take long for the girls to realize who she was which caused many of them to explode into tears right after. Gaga’s episode was quite special as all the girls later dressed up as her at different points in her career while also representing their hometown in a completely separate look.
Miley Cyrus: Season 11
The RPDR producers got a little more creative with Miley’s appearance on the season 11 premiere. They dressed her up in boy drag as a production assistant named BJ who helped the girls prior to their first runway appearance. Silky Nutmeg Ganache got a close look at the “We Can’t Stop” singer at one point where she was then exposed much to the delight of the rest of the cast.

Sheryl Lee Ralph: Season 6
Sheryl Lee Ralph made everyone’s jaw drop when it appeared that she said something totally rude to contestant Trinity K. Bonet on the runway. “PUT A CORK IN IT!” she yelled at TKB which took the Georgia queen by surprise but it was said in a positive way in order for her to improve on her “diction”.

Shania Twain: Season 10
Country legends have appeared often on RPDR (Tanya Tucker, Pam Tillis), but Shania Twain may be the biggest one they will ever have. At least according to Kameron Michaels, who fanned out on the “You’re Still The One” songstress in a cute moment between them on the runway.
