The time has come. A new baby has been added to the royal family.

Earlier this morning, Prince Harry announced to reporters that he’s a happy father of a baby boy.

“I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning. A very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience I can ever have possibly imagined. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension but we’re absolutely thrilled, and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there. IT’s been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody.”

Kensington Palace said in a statement that Meghan Markle went into labor early this morning. Husband Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, was by Meghan’s side the entire time. Then, the baby was born at 5:26 a.m. He weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces, according to the palace.

But what about a name? Well, the prince shared that they do have some ideas but haven’t made an official decision. In addition, they aren’t ready to give out a name to the public just yet.

“Still thinking about names,” Prince Harry shared. “The baby’s a little bit overdue, so we’ve had some time to think about it. But yeah, that’s the next bit.”

This new royal baby is now the seventh in-line of succession after Harry himself, his uncle William and William’s three kids, and finally Charles the Prince of Wales.

But despite just how special this baby is, Daddy Harry says he loves the newborn solely for the blessing of being his son.

“It was amazing. Absolutely incredible. As I said, I’m so incredibly proud of my wife. And as every father and parent would ever say, you know, you’re baby’s absolutely amazing. But this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon.”
