  1. Carlos was stunning in Merli, although for some reason the writers/producers never fully developed the Pol/Bruno relationship in the story, but instead through an Axel story in and wrote Bruno out. The writers/producers had Pol abusing Bruno, played by David Solans. Meanwhile, Axel’s storyline was allowed to develop, even though he treated much worse than Bruno ever did. Many say David Solans left the roll because he was afraid of playing a gay character. The audience seemed to want the Bruno and Pol characters developed instead. What a disappointment!

  3. Yes, Merli was great – though the final episodes seemed a bit of a last minute thought and not as good as the first ones. Carlos is, of course, wonderful (and VERY cute).
