If you’re a fan of the iconic comedy series Will & Grace, you might want to go get your credit card out and your LEGO sign in ready (or just get one in general).
A new Will & Grace set has appeared on the LEGOs Ideas website, and we have to have it!
Australian Amateur LEGO designer Mark Fitzpatrick, the same person who submitted the idea for the RuPaul’s Drag Race Lego set last year, is hoping to get enough supporters to back his new idea.
In order to get the new LEGO set approved and reviewed for production, Fitzpatrick, otherwise known as SeeMarkGeek, needs 10,000 supporters in 422 days. So far, he’s only got 109 supporters, but lets see if we can help him out!
As for why Mark Fitzpatrick is putting all this effort into gay TV themed LEGO sets, its because he loves it.
“I enjoyed sharing my last concept so much and received such a warm, genuinely positive reaction for LEGO lovers all over the world, I couldn’t wait to sink my creative chops into another design,” said Fitzpatrick in a press release.
“I really wanted to create and share another LGBTQI friendly concept, knowing how important positive, fun representation means to so many in our community” he added.
“I’ve always enjoyed Will & Grace and think a LEGO set based on this globally-loved, multi-award-winning comedy would make good commercial sense for LEGO and provide hours of building and play fun for fans all around the world.”
“At its heart, this sitcom is a celebration of friendship through thick and thin. It values individuality and love and it helped pave the way for greater mainstream representation of LGBT lives. All of these qualities inspire me and encouraged me to celebrate it, as it approaches its 10th season, through this LEGO project.”
