The ESPN Body Issue is one to keep our eyes out for every year. We've had several hot men grace the cover in past years, two recent ones have been New England Patriots. The staff over at Gronknation.com reminded us of the patriotic skin that has been out there for all to see.
With Vince Wilfork heading back to play in New England for the first time this week, we thought it was a good time to look back at a very different matchup between the Pats former nose tackle and Gronk.
ESPN the Magazine’s annual Body Issue has become the publication’s most-anticipated edition, and this year it featured Wilfork in all his glory.
Now with Houston — proving that everything really is bigger in Texas! — the lovable man-mountain stripped naked to show off his cuddly 325-pound plus body in the buff.
Which naturally reminded us of Gronk’s own turn on the cover of the Body Issue back in 2012, when he posed with nothing more than a football-shaped piñata or giant Hulk-hands covering his piece.
Gronk is my future husband so let's start off with his little video of when he was to be the cover boy back in 2012.
Back in June of this year, we saw now ex-Patriot grace the cover. Wilfork was one of my favorite players on the team. I'm still excited that he got the call to be in the ESPN edition for 2016.
At 325 pounds, Vince Wilfork isn’t the traditional guy that would pose nude for a magazine — even one that celebrates athletes. But as he points out in the ESPN the Magazine Body Issue video released on Thursday, he has nothing to be ashamed of — even if there might be some mean comments about the photos.
