Following a surprise performance with Taylor Swift at her Reputation Tour’s Rose Bowl stop on Saturday night, Troye Sivan revealed the title, release date and cover art of his forthcoming album, the follow-up to his breakout 2015 hit Blue Neighborhood.
The South African-born crooner’s latest is titled Bloom (it’s also the title of the album’s third single—an anthem about bottoming), and it will be released Aug. 31. The cover art is a clean, elegant black & white headshot by French photographer Hedi Slimane.
On Saturday, Sivan, 22 and Swift, 28 surprised an audience of 60,000 with a performance of the former’s single “My, My, My.” Sivan sported tour Reputation Tour merchandise.
Last week, Sivan told The New York Times that Bloom is an "album of tells, flamboyantly, defiantly expressed."
Sivan will make his big screen acting debut later this year in Joel Edgerton’s coming-out and coming-of-age drama Boy, Erased opposite Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Lucas Hedges.
