Many are raving Miller’s cover appearance in GQ Style’s holiday issue, which came out yesterday (November 6). The shoot was shot by Yoshiyuki Matsumura and styled by Mobolaji Dawodu, and showed Ezra expressing his gender fluidity. Miller is seen in women’s clothing and wearing makeup such as lipstick and nail polish.

But as big and as bold as Ezra Miller can be, he still has his own doubts. Apparently, he was worried before the photo shoot. Thankfully, his fears were met with great surprise.

"I was pleasantly surprised and overjoyed by how much room there was for my very strange and fluid expressions," he told GQ.

As he later expressed in his interview, Miller considers himself gender fluid and is comfortable dressing flexibly and also being referred to as different pronouns interchangeable. "I'm comfortable with all the pronouns," he says. "I let he/his/him ride, and that's fine."

As Miller later told the Hollywood Reporter, he’s just not a fan of specified labels beyond queer.

"Yeah, absolutely. Which is to say, I don't identify. Like, fuck that," he says. "Queer just means no, I don't do that. I don't identify as a man. I don't identify as a woman. I barely identify as a human."

After the GQ issue was published, many internet users and fans of Miller praised the photos.
