What Do We Say About Ellen’s Usain Bolt Tweet? Racist? Funny?

Ellen's  Breaking The Internet, Part 2.

We all know who Ellen DeGeneres and Usain Bolt are, right? If not, crawl back under your rock.  So if they appear in a pic together, like the one above, how should we think?

A) Poor Ellen is getting flack for sending out the above tweet. It's all based on Usain Bolt is the fastest man alive, yet again.  If he were of any ethnicity, wouldn't she send out the same tweet?

Or …

B) Ellen and her team are stupid for sending this out.  This Tweet is totally racists, lacks respect, and is degrading.  It's reminiscent of "Driving Miss Daisy."

So which camp are you in?  Is Ellen just having fun or is she blind to the fact that this edited photo is very racist?

Here are some of the twitter responders (click images for larger view).

What are your thoughts?  Racist? All in fun?

I had my own opinion in here but I was twacked (Twitter attacked) for it.

Actually, the bad feedback was on Facebook, but I just wanted to use the word twacked.

  1. This tweet was funny and

This tweet was funny and completely had nothing racial associated with it.  She could have posted the same tweet with Chris Hemsworth as Thor who is also hunky.  To me this was intended as a flirt and compliment.  Stop pulling the race card on everything unnecessarily!

  3. Actually I think the idiots

Actually I think the idiots that see the man as black are the racist ones. He is just a man and she is just a woman. Nothing more nothing less.

  4. Maybe we have to understand

Maybe we have to understand our social and cultural and historical contexts are different, even if we live in the same town. Maybe this pic reminds the history of black people not just in USA, but in too many places around the world. Maybe we should take care of what we share or laugh of, because not always a thing means the same to everybody. I just hope Ellen isn't racist. It would be a shame being lesbian and racist.

  6. Political Correct at it’s

Political Correct at it's finest…. this is exactly one of the reason why Donald is allowed to have a "political career." This is feeding into Donald Trump and his supporters who argue about PC is killing America. What makes something racist is it's cultural and historical contexts; hence, why white-face isn't a offensive but black-face is. There isn't a racial history of Black folks giving White people piggy back rides against their will. People need to calm the F**** down. Isn't funny that these folks are going after Ellen but don't have the balls to go after people are truly racist?

    •  I love Ellen and I dont

I love Ellen and I dont think she meant to offend anyone with her joke. But there is photo evidence of white people riding the backs of black slaves and servants.

  7. I could see it as racist but

I could see it as racist but if it was one of the typical fat walfare black people then I'd call racist 100%. I don't like Ellen but I just see this as a "I can get stuff done fast" by having a piggy back on the fastest man alive post. People just need to see the fun instead of trying to find hate.

Such bullshit. The meds is always looking for something stupid to twist. Anyone who knows and have followed Ellen knows that the last thing she is , is racist. Grow up people and start turning your attention to the sick bastards that are killing innocent people and thinking it's all ok.

  11. Is she being racist, or are

Is she being racist, or are the critics that see him as a black man and not just a man are being racist?

    • The people who read “racist”

The people who read "racist" in the "Ellen/Usan" pic are pathetic. They are the racists. They look to twist any story to be childishly racist. Get a life. Seriously, should white people think Usan is racist because he thinks only a black person is strong enough to carry a white person on his back?  All of this dumb talk is destructive. Look at people for what they are doing, not pointing out skin color. That is shameful, those of you who do it.

Skin color is a descriptive term like brown/blank/red/blonde hair, –tall/short/skinny/obese/–friendly, judgemental, kind, loving, rude, and so forth.

  13. Anyone that knows anything at

Anyone that knows anything at all about Ellen knows it wasn't meant to be racist.  It was a joke, people.  Don't we have enough problems in the world already without trying to come up with more?
