If you’re going to stage a “Last Supper” of sorts for your new music video at the very restaurant where Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice infamously flipped a table, you better stack it with some Housewives and then some! That is exactly what recording artists Adam Barta and Lovari did when they partnered up with the always stellar Electropoint for the new single “No Day Like Today”
The table and location was set, but it was going to be all about the guest list to really make the video magical. With the guidance of Director Bret Josephs, Barta and Lovari invited some true East Coast luminaries to this party. RuPaul’s Drag Race stunner Honey Davenport and Out In The Wild podcast host David Yontef, joined the party, as did Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Dolores Catania and Margaret Josephs. Margaret’s ever present mother and always darling Marge Sr came along for the ride, as did Margaret’s husband Joe Benigno and New Jersey socialite Corina Ianculovici. Rounding out the cast were Kathleen Stolarz & Lady Clover Honey, with plenty of legendary ball room dancing from Tyra Gardner & Princess Grace Jones of “The House Of Old Navy” & Sugga of the “House Of Marciano”!
The location of the video was a nod to true reality show history, with the dinner being held at Grissini’s Restaurant in Englewood Cliffs, N.J. this summer for an actual “real life” luncheon among the friends (no tables were harmed in the filming of this particular video). Margaret Josephs called the video (in comments to Prideradio) that “shooting the video was fabulous! I considered everyone at the table my family so it was like a regular Sunday. Though I admit to fan girl’ing over Honey Davenport!”. (Josephs has made it clear that it is her dream to be a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race)!
Fellow RHONJ co-star Dolores Catania continued “the dinner was mixed with some good friends and some people I have never met before, yet we melted together like one big family. Amazing music and Italian food – what better to bring people together”?!
Adam Barta summed up both the song and the filming by saying “the song has a message that tomorrow is not guaranteed. Stop wondering what life could be… and make it happen. Being it’s the ten year anniversary of RHONJ, I wanted to do something fun to pay tribute. So the video had to match that energy, and that’s what I asked my friends Margaret and Dolores to be part of it, because that’s what they stand for on TV, and in real life.”
