I’m not entirely sure what gay people have done to be the subject of such animosity but here we are: Tucker Carlson and Dave Rubin have blamed LGBTQ people and progressive policies for the wildfires that are devastating southern California during a Fox News segment, according to Metro Weekly. Yeah, I don’t get it either.
The most logical and widely accepted cause of the wildfires is a downed power line that was owned by Pacific Gas and Electric, or PG&E. Instead of believing that, Tucker Carlson took a different approach and blamed workplace diversity for the fires. Here’s the video so you can hear it yourself:
Dave Rubin, openly gay man and host of the conservative show The Rubin Report went along with Carlson and said “The problem right now is that everything, everything, from academia to public utilities to politics, everything that goes woke, that buys into this ridiculous progressive ideology that cares about what contractors are LGBT or how many black firemen we have or white this or Asian that, everything that goes that road eventually breaks down.” I’m struggling to understand how the California wildfires are in any way connected to workplace diversity because there is exactly zero correlation between these two things. Workplace diversity didn’t cause the tree to fall on the powerline, nature did. But I guess I should give these guys credit — if mental gymnastics were an Olympic sport, they would get the gold medal.
PG&E is implementing “preemptive blackouts” as a way to prevent more fires from starting if a powerline were to fall which we can all agree is a good course of action, but Carlson once again missed the mark and said that the state of California is uncivilized because, he said, “If you can’t keep the lights on and you can’t keep the place from burning down, you’ve reached the point where there is no kind of lying about it anymore… it’s falling apart. It’s a disaster.” Okay.
These fires have been devastating to the residents of southern California, but Carlson and Rubin decided to be flippant about it and blamed the gays. But I suppose I shouldn’t have expected anything different.

Me thinks that tucker is bringing out anti-gay guest because a gay man is surging in the polls and can beat trump.
