styles medium public images blog posts Joel Perry 2014 08 13 Jonathan Saenz Court documents reveal the wife  of Jonathan Saenz, an anti-gay extremist, left him for another–wait for it–woman. Oopsie!

Then, a few months later, Mr. Saenze became the head of an anti-gay Texas group. Hmm! Anger issues much?

Poor Jonathan Saenz is a conservative Catholic attorney who is the president of Texas Values, an anti-abortion, anti-LGBT group "dedicated to preserving and advancing a culture of family values in the state of Texas." In August 2011, he was hit with divorce papers from his now ex-wife, Corrine Morris Rodriguez Saenz, after nearly 10 years of marriage. Those court papers, obtained by Lone Star Q, reveal Rodriguez left Saenz for a woman named Ercimin Paredes. Ouch!

So now Saenz is a vocal opponent of marriage equality, big surprise. He has suggested same-sex marriage support could apply to polygamy or incest and that it could lead to the jailing of "thousands and thousands" of pastors. He has also a big fan of gay conversion therapy.

No word on whether he'd like a gay conversion gift card for his ex.
