We wanted to let you know some exciting news!  We have decided to completely focus our attention on our online platform.  Since relaunching the brand-new instinctmagazine.com in June 2013, we have enjoyed great success with our expansive coverage of gay news, entertainment, reviews, videos, and more.  In just two years our efforts have paid off.

Our site has become the heart of Instinct Magazine, a brand that represents one of the largest destinations where the LGBT community receives its news and entertainment.

We will be switching all content to web in the next month and will no longer be publishing a print version of our magazine.  While missing the construction of our print edition, which we have been doing since 1997, we are looking forward to what we can bring you by focusing exclusively on our website.  As the changeover occurs, please feel free to reach out and let us know how we are doing.  We will do the best to make the transition a smooth and successful one and keep us all moving forward together.

  1. I have contacted them

I have contacted them numerous times about my refund. I paid for a three year subscription and received a total of three (3) magazines… What a business to deal with. Time to bring in the "Big Guns" (Lawyers). As the 'ol saying goes,"When times get tough, the though gets going." What a rip off company….

Um what about those have subscriptions?? No warning? No letter?  Is there the magazine online now? On a app?  Kinda unprofessional.  Been a subsciber for year.. what about the rest of it?

  3. Yet another gay magazine gone

Yet another gay magazine gone the way of the dodo.  Does anybody remember Hero, Blue, Genre, [2], Men, etc….  I have boxes of now defunct gay magazines and I have never received a refund from any of them when they finally met their end.  I guess it is just a sign of the times.  So sad.

  5. Hey guys,

    Hey guys,

I did ask the team at Instinct magazine what they were doing in regard to refunds and they stated that they have done 2 series of refunds at this time and are continuing the process.  If you desire to contact them about your refund, go to the Help tab and the Contact Us option.  Shoot them an email.  That may get quicker results than commenting on here.

  7. I paid for a 3 year print

I paid for a 3 year print subscription, and I was never notified of this change via e-mail, snail mail, or anything. I got 3 issues for the almost $50 I spent. This is most upsetting.

Well count me in for the "pissed off" part of your subscribers. I had a subscription paid up thru 2016. I always really ENJOYED your hard copy of this rag – compared to the advertising fluff & crap in OUTLOOK.

Yeah, you have just f*cked your awesome subscribers and they didn’t like it including me..so what do we get for our existing print subscriptions other than your self absorbing fluff?

  11. I totally concur with Curtis

I totally concur with Curtis's last response.  I have been in hospice health care for over 20 yrs. and our motto and goal was to always provide "Amazing Service".  I am so disappointed that one of our own  has done such a poor job of customer service and of representing the LGBTQ community, not to mention customers who paid for subscriptions, who will never see the product they paid to see and enjoy. 13. I paid for a year

I paid for a year subscription on 4/28/15. I received only one issue which was June/July 2015. If you were planning on discontinuing your printed magazine, then why did you offer subscriptions and take people's money. Furthermore why did you not send out a letter to all your current subscribers to notify them they would no longer get your printed magazine? Being in business myself for over 35 years, I feel this is a very poor example of good customer service. I personally feel a bit cheated. I also feel all those who were new subscribers like me deserve to get their money back. I hope to hear from someone on this issue. Thanks. Curtis

Well, I think folks that we all can kiss any refund good-bye.  If Instinct were making this transition in good faith,  any recent subscription renewals would have been immediately returned and it also doesn't seem like Instinct is moving ahead with this web site.  The saddest part of this commentary is that this is such a poor representation of the LGBTQ community at a time when we are trying to demonstrate a positive image to those that question our morality.

What are the odds? I just subscribed to the print edition last month. I was looking forward to it, since LGBT publications seem to be dwindling. Ah well. I'll continue to read the content here anyway. 🙂

What about refunds?  I am paid up until 2019!  That's 4 more years – I want my money back if you are not going to publish!

  18. Sorry to hear that you will

Sorry to hear that you will no longer be publishing a print version.  It's a shame really since you guys were one of the few gay magazines (maybe only) that put out gay/bisexual men exclusively on the cover. God knows "Out" seems to put more straight guys on their covers than actual LGBTQ celebrities…provided that they are hot, of course.
