In fact, one award ceremony is right around the corner.

The British Academy Film and Television Awards (or BAFTA) released its list of nominees today and Call Me By Your Name made the list.

The film is nominated for several awards. Timothée Chalamet is nominated for the Best Actor category (as well as the public voted category EE Rising Star), Luca Guadagnino is nominated for Best Director, and the film itself is nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Film.

On a side note, Call Me By Your Name isn't the only LGBTQ film to get recognition.

God's Own Country, for instance, was nominated within the category of Outstanding British Film. Also, the Handmaiden was nominated for Film Not in the English Language. Then, Ladybird received nods for Original Screenplay and Leading Actress (Saoirse Ronan).

The awards will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on February 18.
