The Heated Rivalry crew definitely knows about the drought we’re experiencing while waiting for Season 2. Thankfully, they’ve thrown us a lifeline! New bloopers have arrived through the official DVD set, and honey, we have SO much to unpack.
While Shane and Ilya had us sweating over their steamy scenes, the bloopers are giving us an entirely different reason to obsess. Turns out, when the cameras stop rolling, things get a whole lot sillier.

Connor Storrie Is Tap Dancing, and François Is Winking
Where do we even begin? Connor Storrie is out here tap dancing and making the most incredible faces straight into the camera. Meanwhile, François Arnaud is serving a wink so hilariously cheeky that it deserves its own moment of appreciation. And yes, he’s wearing an extremely tight top while doing it. We see you, François!

Hudson Williams, meanwhile, apparently knows his way around a YouTube rabbit hole, because even our favorite hockey heartthrob can get distracted by the internet. Add forgotten lines, missed cues, and someone getting hit by a stage car that isn’t even moving, and you’ve got the full behind-the-scenes experience.
It’s the whole shebang of filming, from the ridiculous little mishaps to the moments when nobody can seem to get it together. We wanted more Heated Rivalry, and the universe has delivered. Well, technically, the DVD extras did, but we’ll take it!

More Than Shane and Ilya
One of the best things about these bloopers is getting to see Connor, Hudson, François, and Robbie G.K. switch between their characters and their own personalities. After watching them bring Shane and Ilya’s intense romance to life, seeing the cast goof around, mess up, and crack jokes offers a completely different kind of entertainment.
There’s something particularly fun about watching actors break character. One minute, we’re invested in every longing look and emotionally charged moment; the next, someone’s missing a cue or pulling a ridiculous face at the camera.
And honestly? We’re eating it up.
Until Season 2 finally arrives, these bloopers are giving us another reason to revisit the world of Heated Rivalry. If the show made us fall for Shane and Ilya, these behind-the-scenes moments are reminding us why the people bringing them to life are just as entertaining.
Now, if the crew wants to release even MORE footage, we’re certainly not going to complain.
