‘NeverEnding Story’ Returns To Movie Theaters For Limited Run

The NeverEnding Story was part of my childhood and maybe many of yours.  If you're too young to remember the film that was released on July 20, 1984, well you're … young and we all hate you.  Along with The Dark Crystal, Wolfgang Petersen's story of … well let's just watch some previews to catch some of our LGBT sprites up to what was one of the most EPIC 80's movies that was The NeverEnding Story.

There are a couple of older movie trailers out there, but I'll share this one since it is highlighted with the theme song that is sure to bring you back.

In order to get some of our more millennial moviegoers interested in seeing TNES, the trailer might have to be reworked into this more dark version, the product of Odyssey Films.

Falkor will fly again on the big screen this September. Classic 1980s cinema fans will get a blast from the past when "The NeverEnding Story" returns to select movie theaters for a two-day, nationwide run on Sept. 4 and 7. The upcoming screenings will be the first time the beloved coming-of-age movie has been seen in theaters for more than three decades.

Each screening will include a new featurette, “Reimagine The NeverEnding Story,” which will show before the main attraction. Screenings will take place at 2 and 7 p.m. (local times).

Tickets can be purchased online here, or at participating theater box offices. Click here for a full list of participating theaters. – patch.com

Will you be attending?  I wonder if the stars of TNES will be in attendance somewhere. The three child stars seem to have done well with themselves as we see in this "Where Are They Now" piece from 22 VISION

I'll be there with my popcorn, soda, and my childhood.  When the movie came out in 1984, I was in the 4th grade, 10 years old and definitely knew I was gay.  Thanks to both boys for being a couple of my childhood crushes.

Will you attend?
