RuPaul’s Drag Race star Nina West did something at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 22, that no one in the history of the show has done before.
She became the first person to ever walk the purple carpet in full drag. Nina, 42, rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest stars in the world during television’s biggest night while looking absolutely fierce in the many ensembles she wore.

She can also kind of call herself an Emmy winner now as season 11 of RPDR took home the award for Outstanding Reality Competition Series for a second year in a row that night.

RuPaul kissed husband Georges LeBar before accepting the award with his team behind him. He also scooped up Outstanding Reality Competition Host at the Creative Arts Emmys one week before. The 59-year-old has won this trophy four years in a row, tying Survivor host Jeff Probst with the most honors in the category.
