Last week, we shared with you the news that artists like Bob Dylan, Kesha, and Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, were switching the pronouns in classic love songs and making them into the perfect music for a gay wedding.
Now, Kesha has gone a step further by releasing a music video in which she helps a real gay couple get married.
Recently, Kesha shared on Twitter that she was honored and excited to be a part of the Universal Love album. In the album, she sings her version of Janis Joplin’s “I Need A Man to Love,” and gives it the new title “I Need A Woman.”
In the twitter video, found below, she says, “When I was approached for this project, I instantly said yes. It was a no-brainer.”
The singer, who identifies as bisexual, then shared a music video a couple days later.
In the video, Kesha starts out by drying across the desert, but the video also follows real life couple Dani and Lindsay as they have fun in Las Vegas.
Later, the two stories merge, and the music stops, as Kesha marries the two in a beautiful ceremony. (Of course, this isn't the first time Kesha's married a gay couple, so there was a good chance that this one would go smoothly).
Grab some tissues, someone cute to hug (a lover, pet, or teddy-bear), and check out the video down below.
