Today, Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone turns 73.
In 1977, Stallone was nominated for two Oscars for Rocky: Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay. This made him only the third man in history to get both noms for the same movie, after Orson Welles and Charlie Chaplin. This is Tinseltown royalty, people!
Also, what a body. From First Blood to Demolition Man to Tango & Cash to Stop or My Mom Will Shoot, the Manhattan-born actor hasn’t been shy about showing it off. He showed the most in 1973’s The Party at Kitty & Stud’s, a softcore porn he would later say he did out of desperation. After he became a superstar, the movie was retitled Italian Stallion to capitalize on his fame. He was only paid $200 for the role (two days’ work).
