Sam Smith is back and this time with a danceable pop beat.

When you think of Sam Smith’s music, you often think of slower and more soulful sounds (not counting “Latch”). But now, Smith is back and with a more dance-worthy single. In fact, the singer has gotten some spectacular backup dancers and learned a few moves himself for a number and performance.

The song itself, which was co-written and co-produced by Smith and Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and ILYA, speaks of a toxic love that’s too hard to break. Some of the lyrics go:

“I’m done hatin’ myself for feelin’
I’m done cryin’ myself awake
I’ve gotta leave and start the healin’
But when you move like that, I just want to stay.”

The chorus then elaborates on this theme of sticking through a rocky relationship with a questionable lover.

“Baby, how do you sleep when you lie to me?
All that shame and all that danger
I’m hopin’ that my love will keep you up tonight
Baby, how do you sleep when you lie to me?
All that fear and all that pressure
I’m hopin’ that my love will keep you up tonight”

As for the music video, it was directed by Grant Singer and choreographed by Parris Goebel. And this writer would be lying if I didn’t say I love it. I snapped. I clapped. And that ending! You’ll just have to see it for yourself.
