Osiris Blade has been one of those rare gay adult performers that you can find in scenes from so many different studios or sites. In this case it’s the more, the merrier, and that’s a good thing given his impressive physique and package and onscreen persona.
The 39-year-old hunk has found much success in an industry that is constantly evolving how it makes content. Behind the scenes, he’s an adorable jack of all trades who has interests in everything from fitness to gayming and more.
In an Instinct exclusive, Osiris talked with us about his very honest reasons for getting into porn, his time in the military when Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was still a thing, and what’s next for this charismatic and charming guy.
What inspired you to get into the adult world?
It was more of a curiosity than anything else. I was slightly inspired to go into the adult industry because there are some attractive guys that I wanted to meet and have sex with. There was an ulterior motive especially with the likes of Sean Zevran, Brent Everett, and many others that I fancied.
How did you land on the stage name Osiris Blade?
I was recruited and signed by FabScout Model Management and on the application I had to provide a name for myself (or one would be provided). The name was inspired by the tattoo on my right bicep. It is of the Egyptian god Osiris. After doing research, I realized that Osiris was already used many, many years ago and the singular name was taken on Twitter. Therefore, I needed a last name. As a “gaymer”/nerd, I refer to my right arm as my “blade arm”. At the beginning of 2019, I didn’t resign my contract with FabScout and dropped the “Blade” portion of my name.
Favorite scene partner so far?
For this year, it would have to be Papi Suave. I greatly enjoyed our time on and off set. He has a great positive and raw energy that I have not encountered with other scene partners this year. I hope it’s ok that I refer to favorite scene partner of this year and not of all time. I’ve had some good times and scenes. I did it that way to meet/make the deadline.
What’s your take on the adult industry today?
It’s at the hands of a revolution of sorts. Models are making great strides to produce more money. With JustFor.Fans and OnlyFans providing a platform for models to make money in between or in lieu of scenes, it is great and an amazing avenue.
You are a USMC veteran. What was it like for you to be in the armed forces with your sexuality?
I enlisted while DADT (Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell) was still in effect. I was essentially placed back within the closet. Nearing the end of my military contract, the policy was in the process of repeal. I could have stayed in and come out of the closet but I would’ve needed to transfer to a different unit.
Is it something you look back on in a positive way?
Of course! I loved being in the military. It solidified my political views and gave me a strong purpose in life. I made some great friends and would do it all again in a heartbeat.
You describe yourself as so many things in your Instagram profile like model, personal trainer and gaymer. Is one of them your biggest passion?
Being able to learn, grow and experience different things IS my passion. Challenging myself to greater heights has been an ongoing adventure for me. Being able to go through life and say that I have done so much or been to so many places gives me the greatest connectivity to just about anyone. Well, except the people who don’t have a passion or are passionate about negativity.
What’s the biggest goal for you moving forward?
As I said earlier, I am now unsigned and a free agent. Moving forward, I want to connect with more opportunities with companies I have dreamed of collaborating. I also want to travel more and possibly have a larger international base. Also, in the future, I want to use my adult performances as a platform for advocacy, outreach and education.
