The American Bar Association has passed a resolution stating that anti-gay laws are human rights abuses. This is kind of a big deal because it's the nation's most important association of lawyers and law students, kids.
They go on to say that 1) governments with anti-gay laws should repeal them; 2) lawyers in jurisdiction that have such laws should work to repeal them; and 3) that the whole friggin U.S. government should "work to end discrimination against LGBT people and to ensure that the rights of LGBT people receive equal protection under the law."
So how great is it to get a bunch of lawyers on your side that you don't have to pay by the hour?
