Is it in poor taste to make a “Parent Trap” joke? I’ll take the risk.
The internet is shook after actress [former actress?—it’s been a long-ass time] Lindsay Lohan posted an Instagram live video of herself trying to “save” two Syrian children from their own parents in Moscow. She got punched in the face in the process.
The video starts with Lohan telling her IG viewers that she wants to introduce us to a Syrian refugee family.
“Tell me your story so I can help you,” she says in English to people who surely don’t speak English. They’re a homeless family with small children, it appears, sleeping under a blanket on the street.
Then the family appears to walk away from Lilo. She follows them, and accuses the adults, presumably the childrens’ parents, of “child trafficking.”
“Guys, you’re going the wrong way, my car is here, come,” Lohan is heard yelling at the children, . “They’re trafficking children, I won’t leave until I take you, now I know who you are, don’t f*ck with me.”
Lohan spent a few years living in Dubai. She throws out Arabic phrases with a Middle Eastern accent throughout the clip. She also speaks English with a Russian accent here and there.
“Don’t f*ck with Pakistan,” she chants at one point.
Things get physical when Lilo tries to forcibly take a child away. One of the adults punches her in the face. Lilo is left crying, gasping. “I am like, in shock right now. I am just like so scared.” She mumbles some more and then the clip is over.
On the surface, this is hilarious and campy. If you think about it for more than a little while, though, it is horrifying.

The mother should've beat Lindsey's ass to a bloody pulp for sticking her nose into their business. Also for ruining whatever language she thought she was speaking. And whe did she get an accent?
