Every day I listen to 102.7 The Beach on my headphones while at work. The '70s, '80s, and '90s music station gets me through the day without having office rage on my fellow coworkers. But the station also adds a little sorrow to my day when they play the songs of two artists, Prince and George Michael.
Call me sentimental, so gay, corny, and I'll agree with you on all counts. Sorry if I feel when I listen to music.
We've seen many tributes to the impressively talented George Michael and we've covered a bunch of them here on Instinct.

I'm sure I'll be gushing and tearing up at the next planned tribute to the rock/pop star in 10 days. Project Angel Food will hold a special ceremony on George Michael's birthday on June 25, 2017 when George Michael will be named this year’s recipient of the Elizabeth Taylor Humanitarian Award. Singer Adam Lambert will perform at the ceremony.
If you missed Michael's many humanitarian acts, here's a reminder of the one that has lead to this award.
Project Angel Food revealed Thursday, December 29, 2016 that singer George Michael was the top benefactor of the organization. "His quiet generosity helped us, year in and year out, and brought so much goodness to thousands of people we serve", stated Richard Ayoub, Executive Director.
It all started during the height of the AIDS crisis and at the same time the singer had purchased a home in the Los Angeles area.
Project Angel Food was struggling to buy food for the growing list of people in need, and was even having trouble paying the staff of 14 people at the old rented church kitchen at Fountain and Fairfax Avenues.
One windy fall afternoon a brown envelope was found at the doorstep of Project Angel Food's Sunset Boulevard office.
The envelope had a handwritten note from George Michael thanking Project Angel Food: "Just keep doing what you are doing Love, George.” Inside the envelope was a check $25,000 to show his love and gratitude. "It was enough to buy food, to make payroll and a lot more," said John Gile, former CEO. – Project Angel Food
Besides the awesome news that Adam Lambert will be performing another tribute to the late star, there is also news that George Michael’s final song is also set to be released. He recorded it a few weeks before his death and is set to be released as a single.
We wish Adam the best of luck in honoring a true star.
