The First Wives Club is about to come to order one more time; or at least the stars are. Deadline announced today that Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton have signed for a new project together for the first time since their 1996 ode to single sisterhood film blockbuster.
In the upcoming feature film Family Jewels, Hawn, Midler and Keaton’s characters are forced to spend the Christmas holidays together, along with their kids and grandkids, after the man they were all once married to drops dead in a New York City department store. New Republic is eyeing a production start this year.
This is not the first rumored reunion of one of film’s most famed female trios. Midler tweeted several years ago about a Netflix deal that seemed all but buttoned up for Divanation. The ladies were to play “members of a once-popular singing group forced to reconnect after their volatile split and 30 year estrangement.” (according to People). Sadly, the project never went forward.
Bit of a hot topic today because Netflix added #FirstWivesClub to their roster…and gearing up to make #divanation with me, Golde & Diane.

We all know that the famed first wife of a certain leader uttered the famous tag-line “don’t get mad, get everything”! By the time this film is ready to wrap, could we actually get a similar line from a certain First Lady?….
