Leslie Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos, Messy Twitter Hatred, And Gays For Trump. WTF ?!?

To be able to silence those that are talking just to hear themselves talk and to hurt others, that may be a great super power to have.  Twitter just put on its cape and kicked some ass to the curb.

From BuzzFeedNews, here’s Twitter’s statement in full:

People should be able to express diverse opinions and beliefs on Twitter. But no one deserves to be subjected to targeted abuse online, and our rules prohibit inciting or engaging in the targeted abuse or harassment of others. Over the past 48 hours in particular, we’ve seen an uptick in the number of accounts violating these policies and have taken enforcement actions against these accounts, ranging from warnings that also require the deletion of Tweets violating our policies to permanent suspension.

We know many people believe we have not done enough to curb this type of behavior on Twitter. We agree. We are continuing to invest heavily in improving our tools and enforcement systems to better allow us to identify and take faster action on abuse as it’s happening and prevent repeat offenders. We have been in the process of reviewing our hateful conduct policy to prohibit additional types of abusive behavior and allow more types of reporting, with the goal of reducing the burden on the person being targeted. We’ll provide more details on those changes in the coming weeks.

What prompted Twitter to flex its moral delete key? Apparently it was all about Leslie Jones. Milo Yiannopoulos tried to force the actress comedienne off of twitter with a storm of tweets that others followed to be the fun thing to do.  The awful tweets from Milo and other morons can be found over at BuzzFeed through this link.

One of the final Milo exchanges is below, not nearly as hateful as others.

He should be gone for that alone, but does society possibly have a delete key to get Milo out of any of the 15 minutes of his spotlight that he may have left?  The Leslie Jones hatred / witch hunt is bad, and the actions below just help negate his character even more.

Rallying attendees before posters of scantily clad young men in “Make America Great Again” hats, speakers at a “Gays for Trump” party on Tuesday night urged LGBT people to combat radical Islamic extremism.

The featured speaker at the event, which was called “Wake Up” and took place at Wolstein Center Ballroom at Cleveland State University, was Milo Yiannopoulos, a provocative gay conservative activist and journalist.

Wearing a white tank top with the image of a gun in rainbow colors and the words “We Shoot Back,” Yiannopoulos said the time has come for the LGBT community to separate itself from the progressive movement to take on Islamic extremism.

In the aftermath of a shooting in Orlando at a gay nightclub by a follower of Islamic extremism, Yiannopoulos said while the left once supported gay people, that’s “no longer the case.”

“Growing up gay wasn’t that fucking bad, let’s be honest,” Yiannopoulos said. “But I still don’t see the reason why the left-wing press mollycoddles and panders to an ideology that wants me dead.”

Yiannopoulos announced at the event he would travel to Sweden next week to lead a Pride parade in what he called a “Muslim ghetto” in Stockholm. Yiannopoulos said he draws no distinction between Islam as a whole and Islamic extremism, although he acknowledged some in the audience may disagree with him.

Known as a provocateur, Yiannopoulos has made comments on social media saying it should be legal to hunt any man with over 20 percent body fat, compared feminism to cancer and set up a scholarship with funds available only to white males. A Trump supporter, Yiannopoulos said during the event Trump is “the most pro-gay candidate in American electoral history.”

Yiannopoulos spoke just minutes before he was reportedly banned permanently from Twitter for a series of tweets against “Ghostbusters” star Leslie Jones that were deemed abusive. As a result, Yiannopoulos said he intends to make the lives of people working for the media a “hell.”

“You have done nothing for gays,” Yiannopoulos said. “While you were busy hectoring and bullying and nannying us about transgender pronouns, you completely forgot that politicians in this country, Democrat[ic] politicians who are welcoming in a religion that wants us dead. They were welcoming in movements and belief systems that are completely incompatible with the Western way of life, with modern, Western, capitalist, liberal democracies, the only systems under which gay people are happy and successful and have rights.”

The estimated 500 attendees at the event, billed as the “most fab party at the RNC,” were predominately young white men, many of whom were wearing “Make America Great Again” hats in support of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. A line of attendees seeking to take photos with Yiannopoulos spanned a room adjoining the ballroom where the event took place.

We all have a voice and deserve to be heard … I guess?   And because of that Yiannopoulos took to his employer’s site, Breitbart.com, and had this to say about Twitter.  He has a lot to say about everything, doesn't he?

“With the cowardly suspension of my account, Twitter has confirmed itself as a safe space for Muslim terrorists and Black Lives Matter extremists, but a no-go zone for conservatives.

“Twitter is holding me responsible for the actions of fans and trolls using the special pretzel logic of the left. Where are the Twitter police when Justin Bieber’s fans cut themselves on his behalf?

“Like all acts of the totalitarian regressive left, this will blow up in their faces, netting me more adoring fans. We’re winning the culture war, and Twitter just shot themselves in the foot.

“This is the end for Twitter. Anyone who cares about free speech has been sent a clear message: you’re not welcome on Twitter.”  – www.breibart.com

What are your thoughts? Does someone just like listening to himself?  Does someone not realize that you shouldn't fight against hatred by using hatred as a weapon?  Does someone not realize he is an ass!  Or does someone realize all of this and is just looking for his 16th minute of fame?

One person that I hope will come out of this shining is Leslie Jones.  But unfortunately, she will not be on twitter and it seems that little Milo won this battle.  Moviefone.com has reported that Jones has left twitter.   Come back Leslie,  we love you!

UPDATE:

On Seth Myers July 22, 2016, Leslie Jones said she did not leave Twitter, she just signed out to deal with the issue.  She actually met the CEO of Twitter to deal with the situation.  Many accounts were taken off Twitter because of what happened.

  1. Strike him and he will become

Strike him and he will become more powerful than you can imagine. Harvard review – to understand Trump study Milo. If you fascist lefties ever catch on, which I doubt cause your reasoning is faulty from the get go, the PC liberal narrative is falling apart at the seams. No one is buying what you are selling anymore. Go Milo!! looking forward to your reality TV show and your movie. Thanks Twitter for putting him in the mainstream, way to go, dumbasses! Anyone who cheers for his ban are making him more popular, just like the protesters on campuses. Silly fools, you are giving me a superiority complex with your foolishness and sheer stupidity.

  2. You do realise those racist

You do realise those racist tweets allegedly by Jones were actually made by Yiannopoulis to discredit her. He made a fake account in her name. You can tell the fake one because it doesn't have the verified by Twitter tick that legit accounts do. How sick do you have to be to do something that extreme to a total stranger just because you don't like their film?

    • lol, except that the ones

lol, except that the ones that you refer to aren't the same ones everyone else is referring to. Anyone can currently go to Jones' twitter page and see a litany of racist tweets that she has been sending out for a long time now.

But yes, think inside your box. Probably the safest bet.

  3. Okay, but let’s be honest:

Okay, but let's be honest: Milo has of late been nuclear waste masquerading as a human being. The worst of it is that he's literally become the monster he feared only four years ago. Look up his article "The internet is turning us all into sociopaths" by Milo Yiannopoulos. He traded his legitimacy for a small niche of fame that probably paid him enough for that horrendous dye job and lots of coke.

  5. “One person that I hope will

"One person that I hope will come out of this shining is Leslie Jones."

lol. A Little late on that one – she's got a ton of racist tweets all over twitter – Not to mention her 13 hour meltdown that started hours before Milo was involved – All while simultaneously publicizing her "twitter hate". She's just as guilty (if not more) than Milo for being a drama queen to stir up publicity.
