Looks Like Coupon Carl Might Be Needing His Own Coupons Soon

Remember the CVS employee being dubbed ‘Coupon Carl’ after calling the police on a black woman trying to use a coupon? Well, CVS has reportedly fired him and another co-worker after the ridiculous racial profiling scandal they created.

The man who was filmed nervously calling the police, Morry Matson, is also the president of the Illinois Log Cabin Republicans, an LGBTQ conservative group. The internet quickly exploded with the video captured by customer Camilla Hudson who was profiled by Matson for simply wanting to use a coupon in a Chicago store. He claimed the coupon was ‘fraudulent’.

CVS issued an apology after the PR nightmare took hold:

According to ABC News, CVS has released an additional statement about the incident:

We have sincerely apologized to Ms. Hudson for her experience in one of our Chicago stores. Our Region Director in Chicago contacted her as soon as we were made aware of this incident. We have completed our investigation, and as a result the two colleagues who were involved are no longer employed by CVS Health. CVS Health does not tolerate any practices that discriminate against any customer and we are committed to maintaining a welcoming and diverse environment in our stores. We have firm non-discrimination policies in place to help ensure that all customers are treated with respect and dignity. Profiling or any other type of discriminatory behavior is strictly prohibited.

Keep your eyes peeled, folks! These ex-CVS employees are headed for the job market.

  1. How come no one has heard the

How come no one has heard the entire story.  I don't believe it was just a bad coupon.  There has to be more than that.  We talk about how we've been discriminated against, yet when we do it to others, it's freedom of speech.  If we don't watch ourselves, we're going to lose more than just our rights.

I quit going to CVS a long time ago because of their rude employees.  Vote with your feet because corporately, they just don't care.

Just in case anyone was wondering why some gays still inexplicably support the Party of Trump:

    Yeah, it's the racism.

Kinda reminds me of a slightly successful gay log cabin republican here in Louisville Ky and bowls on our local gay bowling league but insists on being the waterboy for the racist republican pigfuckers.  I still can't see fir the life of me why gay people support that republican nonsense and they can't even get a booth at political conventions.
