A total of 126, yes, 126 queens have entered the werk room on RuPaul’s Drag Race over the past decade. Many of them have shot to international stardom, where their lives have gone from being a known star in their city or town to millions of people chanting their name, buying their merchandise and spending top dollar to see them perform.
It’s a huge change in the world of drag from what it was before the show started, as the queens who have participated have showcased just how lovable they truly are. This charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent that they all possess has turned RPDR into a money-making, Emmy-winning extravaganza of sorts that shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Speaking of the world “lovable,” there are a huge group of queens from the show who should have that name tattooed somewhere on their body. These are the ones that you rarely, if ever, hear anything negative about, whether it’s from something they did or those f***ing trolls on Reddit who have nothing better to do with their lives than to hate on someone they don’t know.
Question is… who are the queens that have that sort of Reese Witherspoon/Jennifer Hudson/Sandra Bullock type of appeal… in that they are universally loved by all?
I polled a ton of people I know (and don’t really know) about this question, and these are the ten that I got the most responses from. They are in no particular order either. Just ten queens you want to hug, braid each other’s hair and eat cookies with.
